1. Emergency Planning: SSS will work closely with your organization to enhance the development of the Emergency Operations Plan. The Plan is designed for all levels of the organization, from the individual, to the organizational unit, to senior management. The plan will be enhanced to address: how the Client will interface with outside agencies and deal with business continuity issues. In addition, the incident management framework will be further developed to enhanced control and coordination.
2. Emergency Response Plans: outline, and where appropriate, detail how the Client will respond to specific emergency situations.
3. Response Information Folders: are a unique feature offered exclusively by SSS. Response Information Folders are a collection of detailed information about the Client’s physical site. The folders designate key emergency facilities, identify key site features and provide essential contact information to public safety agencies and other response organizations.
4. Coordination: All emergency plans will be integrated with the plans of surrounding public and private organizations to maximize response effectiveness. Where appropriate coordination arrangements will be memorialized in written agreement.
Training & Exercises
5. Training: An essential component of any emergency system is training and education. Everyone in the organization should be provided with the basic knowledge needed to survive various emergency situations. SSS also offers training in the following areas:

Site Tactical Action & Response (STAR): research has shown that the only effective response to active violence is a well-coordinated response by the organization and responding public emergency safety agencies. SSS’s STAR is designed to develop skills to survive and respond to violent attacks on your organization. The training covers a wide range of threats from workplace violence through terrorism. The training will be provided to various levels of the organization including: Client responders, faculty, and designated others.
7. Medical Assistance Training (MAT): SSS’s will provide a three special emergency medical training program that is designed to meet the unique and challenging demands of disaster situations. The training can serve as either a stand-along program or a supplemental module used to enhance existing training.
8. Emergency Response Team (ERT): SSS will develop an Emergency Response Team capable of providing emergency medical care, search and rescue or emergency facility repair. The Team will be provided with training that meets national standards and modified as appropriate for Client. In addition, a list of supporting equipment will be developed. 12 training will be provided on a monthly basis.
9. Incident Management: the art of managing emergency situations requires both formal training and experience. The training is designed to master the concepts of the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS is a management framework used to control and coordinate information and resources during emergency situations. SSS provides standard Incident Command System training enhanced with real-world experience. The training ranges from field to executive level management concepts. Training will be provided on a monthly basis.
10. Public Safety Training (PSAT): is specialized training for public safety agencies covering the unique aspects of responding to high-risk locations or incidents on the Clients site. Local public safety agencies will be offered PSAT to address the demands of responding to the Client’s facility during various emergency situations.
11. Awareness Training: SSS will provide in-depth custom training programs on specific threat situations as necessary. Clients are taught to recognize the threat, avoid it where possible, and respond when needed. The training integrates hands-on experience with classroom work.
12. Exercises: SSS will design and administer exercises that test your organization’s ability to manage, coordinate and operate during emergency situations. The exercises will range from tabletop to functional.
13. Resource Management: SSS will work with the Client to develop resources to sustain life, continue business operations during emergency events. The goal will be to enable the Client to support its residential population in a self-sustained format for a period of up to five days. And to enable the utilization of identified resources to continue essential business operations within 15 days of a catastrophic disaster. Planning will address with the scarcity of equipment and supplies, the security of distribution, and the management of critical resources during an emergency. SSS will work with the Client to identify and procure critical equipment and supplies, SSS will identify the most appropriate solution taking into account both expediency and expense to insure that resources are there when they're needed.
14. Resource Development: SSS will assists in building response capability by designing and managing the development of such facilities as Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) and Command Posts (CP) using facilities designated by Client. These central locations provide emergency management staff with a safe isolated and well supplied location from which to coordinate, communicate, and control emergency response actions.
